Steel plinth fixed to a RC wall

Remedial measure of a retaining wall which was done 100 mm shorter

My original idea was to use a RHS column next to the wall, to support the half-overhanging beam above the RC wall:

The above idea of RHS column was difficult to implement due to collision with a stair ramp. I’ve come up with an alternative solution of fixing a steel plinth made from UKC to the wall corner:

The UKC was chamfered to give more headroom and reduce collision risks:

Final solution: the UKC flange was closed by a steel plate for better rigidity and appearance:
